eCommerce Website Development for Singapore Retailers and Brands

Selling on Shopee or Lazada brings traffic, but the customer relationship belongs to the marketplace. Your own online store lets you keep customer data, run your own promotions and avoid commission on repeat orders.

We build eCommerce websites for Singapore retailers, distributors and direct-to-consumer brands, with the checkout, delivery and stock processes that a Singapore shopper expects.

Plan your online store

Tell us how many products you sell, where you sell them today and how orders are fulfilled.

Payments, tax and delivery in Singapore

Taking payment

Most Singapore shoppers expect to pay by card or PayNow, the bank-to-bank transfer service that works through the SGQR code. We integrate a payment gateway that supports the methods you want, for example Stripe or HitPay, subject to the provider approving your business. Using the gateway's hosted payment page means card numbers never touch your website's server, which reduces your security exposure.

Showing GST

If your business is GST-registered and sells to consumers, prices shown to them should include GST, which has been 9% since 1 January 2024. We set up tax rules and invoice layouts the way your accountant specifies; we build the store, but we are not tax advisers.

Getting orders delivered

Delivery options depend on what you sell. Small parcels often go through couriers such as SingPost or Ninja Van; bulky goods may need your own delivery schedule. Where a courier offers an API, we connect it so labels and tracking numbers are created from the order; where it does not, we design the simplest manual workflow.

Your own store, a marketplace, or both?

Many Singapore sellers do both. This is how the two channels usually compare.

Before you commission a store, have these ready

Information we will ask for

  • Product list with prices, variants and stock levels
  • Product photos, or a plan for taking them
  • Delivery areas, fees and turnaround times
  • Return and refund policy wording

Decisions only you can make

  • Which payment gateway account to open in your company's name
  • Whether to show stock levels publicly
  • How marketplace and website stock will be shared
  • Who processes orders each day

Who will build and support your store

An online store handles your customers' orders and personal data, so you should know who is behind it. The store will be built by Appeonix Creative Lab, an Udyam-registered micro enterprise in Thrissur, India, which also holds an Ontario business name registration.

Pricing an eCommerce project

For a store, the written proposal states the number of product templates and categories, which payment and delivery integrations are included, how many products we load for you and what support follows launch.

Online store questions from Singapore sellers

Can the website and our marketplace shops share the same stock?

Often, yes, but it depends on the platforms involved and whether they provide integration tools. We check this during planning; where full sync is not practical, we set up a simple process to avoid overselling.

Which payment gateway should we use?

Choose one that supports the payment methods your customers use, settles in your preferred currency and approves your type of business. We can compare options, but the account must be opened in your company's name.

Can we sell to customers in Malaysia or elsewhere?

Yes. The store can show other currencies and calculate international shipping. Overseas sales bring their own tax, customs and delivery questions, which you should confirm with your accountant and courier.

Do you migrate products and customers from our old store?

We migrate products, categories and, where the old platform allows export, customers and order history. Passwords usually cannot be migrated, so customers are asked to reset them.

Can you help after launch with sales campaigns?

Yes. We can prepare the store for busy periods, test it under load and support promotions, either as ad-hoc work or under a monthly arrangement.
