Website Maintenance Services in Thrissur

Many Thrissur businesses have a website that was launched, paid for and then left alone. Plugins fall out of date, the SSL certificate lapses, a contact form stops sending, and the person who built it no longer answers the phone.

Appeonix Creative Lab has run its head office in Kovilakampadam, Thrissur since 2014. We take responsibility for the routine upkeep of existing websites, including sites we did not build, and tell you each month what was checked, changed and fixed.

Send your website address, what it runs on if you know, and anything that is currently broken or worrying you.

When the developer behind your Thrissur website has moved on

A common enquiry starts like this: the site was built a few years ago by a freelancer or a small agency, nobody kept the logins in one place, and now something has gone wrong. The site might show a security warning in the browser, the admin panel might ask for updates nobody dares to install, or Google might have flagged pages as unsafe.

None of this means the site has to be rebuilt. In most cases the first job is simply to find out what the site runs on, who controls the domain and hosting, and whether a usable backup exists. Once that is established, the site can be brought up to date in a controlled way and kept there.

Recovering access comes first

We help you list every account the website depends on (domain registrar, hosting or cloud account, CMS admin, email and analytics) and move them into your company's name where they are not already. Your business should own these accounts; we work through access you grant and can remove.

What monthly maintenance covers for Thrissur websites

The exact scope is agreed per site. These are the areas a typical maintenance plan includes.

Core, plugin and theme updates

WordPress core, plugins and themes updated after a backup, then the key pages and forms checked so an update does not quietly break something.

Backups and restore tests

Scheduled backups of files and database stored away from the live server, with periodic test restores to confirm they actually work.

Uptime and SSL checks

Monitoring that the site responds and that the SSL certificate is valid and renewing, so visitors never see a 'not secure' warning.

Security hardening

Removing unused plugins and old admin accounts, tightening file permissions and login protection, and reviewing who has access.

Malware clean-up

Finding and removing injected code, spam pages and unknown admin users from a compromised site, then closing the gap that let them in.

Content edits

Routine changes such as new photos, updated prices on your own pages, staff changes, notices and new pages built from existing templates.

Maintaining WordPress, Magento and Laravel sites from Thrissur

Maintenance work depends on what the site is built with, so we confirm the platform and versions before agreeing a plan.

WordPress sites and WordPress-based stores

Most small business sites in the area run on WordPress. The risk usually lies in plugins: a site may carry many of them, some abandoned by their authors. We update what is supported, replace what is abandoned where a safer alternative exists, and test checkout and enquiry forms on WordPress-based stores after every round of updates.

Magento stores

Magento upgrades need more care because extensions and custom themes can conflict with a new version. We prefer to test updates on a copy of the store before applying them to the live site, and we review product, cart and order flows afterwards.

Custom Laravel and PHP applications

For bespoke sites and portals built in Laravel or PHP, maintenance covers framework and package updates, fixing bugs and reviewing error logs. If the original source code or repository cannot be found, we tell you plainly what that limits.

Hosting and server coordination

Where your site is hosted on AWS, Azure or DigitalOcean, we can look after the server side as well: PHP and database versions, disk space, server backups and certificate renewal. With shared hosting, we work with your provider's control panel and support desk.

Taking over an unmaintained Thrissur website

This is how a handover usually runs for a site we did not build.

Gather access and facts

We collect the logins you have, identify the platform, hosting and domain registrar, and note anything currently broken.

Take a full backup

Before anything changes, we take a complete copy of files and database and store it separately from the live server.

Audit the site

We review software versions, plugins, user accounts, SSL, forms and signs of compromise, then send you a prioritised list.

Stabilise

Urgent problems such as malware, an expired certificate or a broken contact form are fixed first, and outdated software is brought up to date.

Move to routine upkeep

Monthly updates, checks and agreed content edits begin, with a short written report at the end of each month.

A typical upkeep schedule for a Thrissur business site

Frequencies are agreed for each site based on how often it changes and what it does; this table is an example, not a fixed package.

Cleaning up a hacked website in Thrissur

Signs of a compromised site include unfamiliar pages appearing in Google results, redirects to gambling or pharmacy sites, a hosting provider suspending the account, or new admin users nobody created.

Illustrative Business Scenario (illustrative example, not a real client): a Thrissur jewellery showroom notices that its site sends some mobile visitors to an unrelated page. On review, an outdated slider plugin has let an attacker add code to the theme files and create a hidden administrator. The clean-up would involve taking a forensic backup, removing the injected code and rogue account, replacing the vulnerable plugin, resetting every password, and asking Google to review the site through Search Console once it is clean.

After a clean-up, the site moves on to the regular schedule so the same weakness is not left open. If the site has been changed so much that cleaning it is no longer practical, we say so and explain the options.

What Thrissur clients keep, and what we will not do

You keep

  • Ownership of the domain, hosting and all admin accounts
  • Copies of your backups on request
  • A written record of changes made each month
  • The right to remove our access at any time

We will not

  • Promise that a site can never be hacked
  • Offer ranking guarantees as part of maintenance
  • Install updates on a live site without a backup first
  • Hold your logins or files back if you change provider

Website maintenance questions from Thrissur businesses

Can we meet your team in person in Thrissur?

Yes. Our head office is in Kovilakampadam, Thrissur, and you can arrange a meeting there to talk through your site. The maintenance work itself is done remotely through the access you grant.

Our site was built by a freelancer who no longer replies. Where do we start?

Start with whatever you have: the website address, any invoices or emails from the original developer, and the email address used to register the domain. From those we can usually identify the hosting and registrar and help you recover access in your own name.

Do you only maintain websites that Appeonix built?

No. Much of maintenance work involves sites built elsewhere. We audit the site first, so both sides know what condition it is in before routine upkeep begins.

How much does a monthly maintenance plan cost?

It depends on the platform, the number of plugins or extensions, how often content changes and whether server upkeep is included. Our published rate card lists hourly and monthly rates, and we confirm the scope after reviewing your site.

Does maintenance improve our position on Google?

Maintenance keeps the technical basics healthy: valid SSL, working pages, no malware and reasonable speed. That supports search visibility, but there are no ranking guarantees. Ongoing SEO is a separate service.
